SHIPPING A FIREARM TO AN FFL DEALER

Compact Firearms will transfer ownership of any firearm ONLY to individuals or agencies in possession of a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL). This means we cannot ship directly to you (unless you have a valid FFL).

At your request Compact Firearms will transfer your purchased firearm to a licensed gun dealer in your state.

• It is your responsibility to complete all required paperwork when you pick up your purchase from your local dealer.
• It is your responsibility to contact the FFL dealer and inform them of the sale and impending shipment.
• As a courtesy, we will include a copy of our FFL License with each firearm shipped for your dealer to file.
• We reserve the right to deny shipment to any dealer and will contact you if there is cause to do so.
• Be aware that it is customary for your local dealer to charge a transaction fee at the time you pick up your purchase.

This transfer fee is strictly between you and your local dealer. It is your responsibility to check with your local dealer concerning any policy of this kind and concerning your obligations. You do not pay Compact Firearms the transfer fee. By purchasing a firearm from us you acknowledge that you may have to pay your dealer a fee for transferring the gun to you.

In order for us to ship to your local dealer, we must have a signed copy of their valid Federal Firearms License. You, the buyer, are responsible for making sure we receive a copy of this document before we can ship your firearm. Often, your dealer will wish to send us a copy of their license directly. They can do so by the following prefered methods:

1. Email a .pdf copy of the license to guns@compactfirearms.com - This method is fastest and clear.

SHIPPING & HANDLING CHARGES

Hand Guns: $20 Flat Fee shipped via USPS Priority Insured mail. $30 for oversized boxes (Colts, Some FN Herstal pistols, etc.) or multiple guns. The insurance amount included is up to $500 per shipment. We make sure that every pistol is packaged professionally and carefully  to insure that your firearm has a safe "ride" to your dealer. $7.50 for each additional handgun that is shipped with your order. Occassionally we offer FREE SHIPPING as a promotion on certain pistols. In this case a "***FREE SHIPPING***" label will appear in the "Pros" section of the description. In this case, no additional shipping fee will appear in the shipping cart during checkout. ***As of June 1st, 2012 we are running a limited promotion where all orders ship for only $9.97 - this offer is good until the end of the month so be sure to order soon!***

Long Guns: $30 Flat Fee shipped via UPS or Fedex Ground. The insurance amount included is up to $500 per shipment. We make sure that every long gun is packaged professionally and carefully  to insure that your firearm has a safe "ride" to your dealer. $7.50 for each additional long gun that is shipped with your order.

Accessories & Survival Gear: $9.97 Flat Fee shipped via USPS Priority for most purchases.  When purchasing firearms and accessories together we ship accessories directly to the address that you provide during the checkout procedure.

SHIPPING TIMES

Most orders ship within 24-48 hours from the time that we receive payment for you order. Some items may be temprarily backordered and may take 3-5 business days to process before shipping. Handguns shipped via USPS Priority generally arrive within 2-3 business days from the shipping date. Long guns shipped via Fedex or UPS Ground may take up to 5 business days. 

WHERE WE DON'T SHIP

Compact Firearms does not ship ANY firearms to the state of California and to certain counties in New York:

• Bronx
• Kings
• Nassau
• New York
• Queens
• Richmond

We will ship legal accessories and survival gear to these locations however.

PICKING UP ITEMS FROM OUR RETAIL STORE

If you would like to pick up an item from our retail store that you have ordered, please allow 4 working days before pickup. Be sure to call in advance to see if your order is ready.

We must charge Utah sales tax (6.75%) if you pick a product up from the retail store. (You should see this amount calculated into your order before you complete your purchase).

If you are not a legal resident of Utah you cannot pick up a handgun from our store; you must have the gun transferred to a dealer in your state. You may pick up a rifle or shotgun, accessories, or survival gear from our store if it is legal to own in your state of residence.

RETURNS

Returns are ONLY accepted for merchandise found defective immediately upon receipt.  Compact Firearms will provide YOUR CHOICE of a replacement item (pending availability) or full refund AND pay the return shipping cost on all firearms, accessories, and survival gear found defective upon receipt.  For your added convenience,  Compact Firearms will also arrange for the defective firearms to be picked up and returned to us by the original shipper.  Accessories will need to be returned by you, the purchaser. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RETURN PACKAGES TO THE ADDRESS ON THE BOX AS WE WILL BE UNABLE TO VERIFY YOUR RETURN AND ISSUE REPLACEMENT OR REFUND.
